Manny Albam, one of the major influences and contributors to the development of big band music during the 40s, 50s, and 60s, has arranged this musical retrospective of the period when swinging big bands were part of everyone's musical enjoyment. Manny has arranged and/or composed for many top artists including Count Basie, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, Gerry Mulligan, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Terry Gibbs, and brings a wealth of talent, experience, and love to the music.
